Shooting Minoo’s Cookbook

Every cookbook has a heartbeat.
Minoo’s beats somewhere between a cloud of flour, a golden crust, and a perfectly timed laugh that breaks the silence just when the shot feels too composed.

When Minoo and Alireza, also known as the Chief Everything-but-the-Dishes Officer and Chief Eating Officer, asked us to bring their upcoming cookbook to life, we knew exactly what kind of story we wanted to tell. One that feels real. Warm. Slightly chaotic in the best way possible.

Step One: Find the Mood

Before we ever pick up a camera, we listen. We listen to the recipes, to the people behind them, and to what they want their audience to feel.
Minoo’s food feels like a cozy Sunday morning: approachable, generous, and full of small, intentional details. So that’s the story we chased.

Step Two: Prep and Play

Our studio turned into a small bakery for over a year: flour on the counters, cooling racks everywhere, and the smell of fresh bread hanging in the air. Every loaf was baked in-house, styled fresh, and captured while still warm enough to make us all hungry.

Step Three: Capture the Essence

When we shoot, we aim for truth over perfection. Crumbs stay. Butter melts. Bread breaks. Because that’s what food does.
We wanted every image to feel alive, just like Minoo’s world.

Step Four: The Finishing Touches

Once the flour settled and the last loaf cooled, we moved into the quiet rhythm of editing. Adjusting light, tone, and color until every image looked exactly how the food felt:

honest, textural, and timeless.

Why It Mattered

This project was more than just food styling and photography, it was about translating a creative soul into visuals that could live forever between two covers.

Working with Minoo and Alireza reminded us that behind every recipe, there’s a real story.

And behind every story, there’s a team crazy enough to chase the perfect mix of light, laughter, and love.

If you’re dreaming of your own cookbook, or want visuals that tell your story with the same warmth and care; let’s talk.
